State of Michigan's 2008 General Fund Budget

To all Local 1650 Members:

As you are probably aware, Governor Granholm and State legislative leaders in Lansing are attempting to hammer out an agreement to resolve a $3 billion deficit in the State of Michigan's 2008 general fund budget.  The State's budget has a direct impact on our lives here at  HFCC, and they need to hear from us, their constituents.   The Local 1650 Legislative/Political Action Committee has written a draft letter, attached to this message, supporting the Governor's proposal.  We encourage you to send this letter to your State representative and State senator in Lansing.  Feel free to modify this letter as needed.
